Description
This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is for new grantees for the Grants for Transportation of Veterans in Highly Rural Areas for fiscal year 2026. Approximately $7.0 million is authorized for this fiscal year to support innovative transportation services for veterans residing in areas with less than seven persons per square mile to access VA authorized healthcare. Only VA accredited Veterans Service Organizations or State Veterans Service Agencies are eligible to apply. Grants awarded will be for a one-year period and no single grant will exceed $50,000 per highly rural area. Veterans receiving transportation services through these grants will not be charged for such services.
