Description

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is for renewal grantees for the Grants for Transportation of Veterans in Highly Rural Areas for the fiscal year 2026. Approximately $7.0 million is authorized to be appropriated for this fiscal year. The program supports Veterans Service Organizations and State Veterans Agencies in providing transportation services to Veterans residing in areas with less than seven persons per square mile to access VA authorized healthcare. Renewal grants will be awarded for a one-year period and no single grant will exceed $50,000 per highly rural area. Only current 2025 grantees are eligible to apply for renewal grants under this NOFO.
