Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, through the WaterSMART program, is offering Applied Science Grants to improve access to and use of hydrologic data, develop and improve water management tools, and enhance hydrologic modeling and forecasting capabilities. The program supports projects that help water managers and reservoir operators make informed decisions to increase water supply reliability and resilience during droughts. Eligible projects include improving operational models for irrigation or reservoir operations, enhancing snow monitoring technologies, and developing hydrologic databases. The program expects to award approximately 20 grants with funding up to $400,000 each, requiring a 50% non-Federal cost share.
