Description
This solicitation by the Antarctic Sciences Section (ANT) of the Office of Polar Programs (OPP) funds research that enhances understanding of Antarctic and global Earth systems, focusing on biological, geochemical, and physical processes. It supports projects that do not require logistical support from the U.S. Antarctic Program, including research conducted outside Antarctica or using existing data and samples. The goal is to advance fundamental knowledge of Antarctic systems and build capacity in the US polar science workforce. Proposals requiring USAP logistical support are not eligible under this solicitation.
