Description
The NSF Trailblazer Engineering Impact Award (TRAILBLAZER) program supports individual investigators proposing novel research projects that address new areas of fundamental or applied research, catalyze new industries or capabilities, and make progress towards national needs or grand challenges. Priority areas include artificial intelligence, bioengineering, quantum engineering, robotics, and nuclear engineering. The program supports engineers and scientists pursuing new research directions distinct from their previous work. Funded projects form a TRAILBLAZER cohort with expected participation in annual meetings and additional activities.
