Projects should focus on strengthening capacity in five key public health areas: Real-Time Surveillance and Reporting, Laboratory Systems, Workforce Development, Emergency Management and Response, and Health System Strengthening and Services Delivery. The projects should build upon existing public health infrastructure and activities from a previous CDC project and address recommendations from the Joint External Evaluation 2023, align with MOH strategic plans, and prioritize gaps identified in the National Action Plan for Health Security. Robust monitoring and evaluation of program performance and progress are also required.
