The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) seeks to support ambitious research projects organized as a “Center without Walls” consortium to elucidate mechanisms of neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias (ADRD). The program encourages interdisciplinary research consortia using state-of-the-art technologies, disease-relevant models, clinical science, and human specimens to investigate disease mechanisms and identify therapeutic targets, biomarkers, and factors influencing ADRD susceptibility and pathology. One awardee team will serve as a coordinating center to facilitate collaboration and data sharing. Applications are not currently solicited; this notice allows potential applicants to develop collaborations and projects.
