Description
This program supports collaborative translational research projects aimed at enhancing the translation of basic biological discoveries into clinical applications that improve health. It encourages high-quality science with potential to understand important disease processes or lead to new therapeutic interventions, diagnostics, or prevention strategies aligned with NIH priorities. The program seeks to strengthen collaborations between basic and clinical researchers within and outside NIH, promoting partnerships between NIH intramural and extramural investigators. Support is provided for extramural investigators to conduct clinical research projects in collaboration with NIH intramural investigators at the NIH Clinical Center.
