Description
This cooperative agreement provides resources to Tribes interested in entering the Tribal Self-Governance Program (TSGP) or existing Self-Governance Tribes interested in assuming new or expanded Programs, Services, Functions, and Activities (PSFAs). The TSGP allows Tribes to negotiate with the Indian Health Service (IHS) to manage and tailor health care programs to suit their community needs. Tribes can choose to receive health care services directly from the IHS, contract with the IHS to administer programs, or compact with the IHS to assume control over health care programs. These options can be combined based on individual Tribal needs.
