Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) invites applications from current recipients of Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center cooperative agreements (MEP Centers) to perform assessments of small- and medium-sized manufacturers (SMMs) in areas subject to a FEMA Disaster Declaration. These assessments aim to identify the impact of the disaster on SMM operations. Funded MEP Centers must assist impacted SMMs in accessing Federal, State, and local resources for business recovery and develop risk mitigation plans for future disasters. Award recipients are required to share project results, including disaster preparedness lessons learned and best practices, with other SMMs, NIST, and the MEP National Network to enhance disaster resilience planning.
