Description
The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in various research areas funded by the National Science Foundation. It offers two mechanisms: REU Sites, which engage multiple students in research projects within a single or interdisciplinary discipline, and REU Supplements, which can be added to existing NSF grants or cooperative agreements. The program welcomes projects with an international dimension, but participants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents. Investigators manage student selection processes independently, and students apply directly to REU Sites or Supplements.
