Description
The Historically Black Colleges and Universities - Excellence in Research (HBCU-EiR) program aims to strengthen research capacity at HBCUs by funding research projects aligned with NSF's research programs. It provides opportunities for both public and private HBCUs, especially those less successful in larger NSF competitions, to stimulate sustainable improvement in research and development capacity. The program fosters stronger connections between HBCU researchers and NSF's research programs. Proposals may only be submitted by accredited HBCUs with faculty conducting research in science, engineering, or STEM education. The Principal Investigator must be a full-time faculty member or researcher at the submitting HBCU.
