The DTC will coordinate the overall project, support a cohort of patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), and curate and analyze existing data from NIH cohorts and trials. This NOFO will utilize the U54 activity code and is a non-competitive funding opportunity intended to fund a single award to Northwestern University, pending a meritorious peer-reviewed application. Companion NOFOs will support a Clinical Trial Center and up to seven Clinical Centers for new clinical trial activities recruiting heart failure patients.
