Description

The FDA/ORA's Cooperative Agreement Program aims to improve the national food safety system by enhancing interagency collaboration and strengthening state regulatory and surveillance programs for manufactured foods. The program supports federal and state efforts to build an integrated animal food safety system, promotes sharing of best practices and tools, and provides training to support the Animal Food Regulatory Program Standards (AFRPS) and FSMA provisions. It also focuses on advancing and modernizing the AFRPS to meet the needs of animal food regulatory programs. Eligible applicants are national organizations representing state animal food regulatory programs with the capacity to build consensus and provide leadership in animal food safety.
