Description
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) seeks to enhance the nation's ability to rapidly mobilize, surge, and respond to public health emergencies (PHEs) by establishing a roster of approved but unfunded (ABU) applicants. These applicants may receive rapid funding to respond to PHEs of significant magnitude or complexity that exceed local resources. The NOFO is designed to collect applications prior to a PHE and is not intended for capacity-building but to support surge needs of existing programs. Funding will be made available contingent upon the determination of a PHE and appropriations availability, with supplemental guidance provided when activated.
