Description

This funding opportunity aims to support state egg regulatory programs in achieving and maintaining full conformance with the Egg Regulatory Program Standards (ERPS). The cooperative agreement will fund states to develop implementation plans, enhance regulatory programs to protect public health, share inspection and compliance data with the FDA, and improve regulatory resource use to reduce egg-related illnesses. Eligible applicants are state egg regulatory programs currently under FDA egg inspection contracts or willing to enter into such contracts in 2025. Funding is provided for one year with potential for up to two additional years based on performance and availability of funds, with an expectation of full conformance within five years.
