Description
The Facility and Instrumentation Request Process (FIRP) solicitation allows the research community to propose projects requiring access to instrumentation and facilities sponsored by the Facilities for Atmospheric Research and Education (FARE) Program in the Division of Atmospheric and Geospace Sciences (AGS). It provides funding to organizations to make specialized instrumentation and facilities available through the Lower Atmosphere Observing Facilities and the Community Instruments and Facilities programs. FIRP offers three proposal submission tracks: Education and Outreach, Single Facility Request, and Field Campaigns. Preference is given to proposals submitted to programs in AGS within the Geosciences Directorate. Proposals requiring FARE-sponsored assets must be submitted through this solicitation.
