Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) plans to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity to support the NIEHS Worker Training Program’s Hazardous Materials Worker Health and Safety Training Program. This program provides classroom, online, and practical health and safety training for workers and supervisors involved with hazardous materials, waste generation, treatment, storage, disposal, removal, containment, transportation, or emergency response. The NOFO includes three program areas: Hazardous Waste Worker Training Program, Environmental Career Worker Training Program, and Hazmat Disaster Preparedness Training Program. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and federally recognized Native American tribal governments.
