The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is soliciting Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant applications to develop Technology-Enhanced Training Products for health and safety training of hazardous materials workers and related personnel. The training products may include online training, mobile device training, augmented reality, virtual reality, and serious gaming to improve worker safety and resiliency. The program supports training for workers involved in hazardous waste activities, emergency response, and hazardous materials transportation. The goal is to prevent work-related harm by enhancing training technologies for hazardous materials workers and supervisors.
