Description
The Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA Individual Predoctoral (Parent F31) award aims to support promising predoctoral students by providing individualized, mentored research training from outstanding faculty sponsors. The training is conducted while the students work on dissertation research projects in scientific health-related fields relevant to the missions of participating NIH Institutes and Centers. The mentored research training must align with the candidate's dissertation project and enhance their potential to become productive, independent research scientists. Candidates are not allowed to propose leading an independent clinical trial but may gain research experience in a clinical trial led by a sponsor or co-sponsor.
