The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Stimulating Access to Research in Residency Transition Scholar (StARRTS) Career Development program. This program aims to ensure a pipeline of highly trained scientists in biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research by supporting their transition to research independence. The opportunity is a companion to the R38 program and is limited to candidates who have completed the R38. Applications are not being solicited at this time; this notice is for advance planning.
