The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) is seeking information, suggestions, and innovations to inform a comprehensive review of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) program and the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM) program. These programs together constitute NSF's Excellence Awards in Science and Engineering (EASE) investment. NSF paused the annual application and award cycles in July 2025 to conduct a strategic review and planning process to reorient the programs for the future. The NSF invites comments and insights on exemplary practices, lessons learned, application requirements, and award selection criteria to improve these prestigious awards programs.
