Description

This final rule makes administrative updates to the Federal Railroad Administration's State safety participation regulations, correcting inadvertent removal of language from CFR Part 212, Title 49. The rule reinstates paragraphs (d)(1) through (5) of section 212.201 as they existed before July 1, 2025, and revises the section heading for 212.233 for consistency. The amendments are technical corrections to effectuate FRA's intent and are effective April 28, 2026.
