Description
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has granted Yarde Metals, Inc. a limited 5-year exemption to use an amber, brake-activated, pulsating auxiliary lamp on the rear center outside frame rail of each of its commercial motor vehicles, in addition to the steady-burning brake lamps required by regulations. This exemption is intended to enhance safety by providing a level of safety equivalent to or greater than the current regulations. The exemption is effective from April 28, 2026, to April 28, 2031, and includes data reporting requirements and conditions for maintaining the exemption.
