Description
The FAA is issuing a final rule superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2024-24-02 for all Safran Model ARRIUS 2F engines. The AD requires removal of affected fuel control units (FCUs) from service and replacement with serviceable parts, reducing the number of affected FCUs based on updated serial number information. This action addresses an unsafe condition related to missing lubricating and balancing grooves on FCU fuel pump bearings, which could cause uncommanded in-flight shutdowns and reduced control of single-engine helicopters. The AD is effective June 2, 2026.
