The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, is seeking contractors to supply and install new motorized roll-up garage doors and upgrade existing manually operated doors to mechanical operation at the Lake Washington Ship Canal, specifically at the Hiram Chittenden Locks in Seattle, WA. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District (W071 ENDIST SEATTLE KO Contracting Division) - Products and Services Requested: - Installation of new roll-up garage doors and upgrades to existing doors for motorized operation - Four main areas: Steel Shop, Carpentry Shop (2 doors), Plumbing Shop, and Storage Warehouse (6 doors) - Work includes removal/disposal of old doors, installation of new doors, upgrades with actuators, minor alterations to door frames, replacement of torsion springs and tracks, and installation of safety features - Provision and installation of DuraCoil or similar doors and LiftMaster operators with safety devices and remote controls - Compliance with local and federal codes required - Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) must be included in offer submissions - OEMs and Vendors: - DuraCoil (for doors) and LiftMaster (for operators) are referenced as examples; no specific OEMs are mandated - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All doors must be motorized and include safety features - Site visits are referenced for bidders - All work must be completed within 90 calendar days of award - Place of Performance: - Hiram Chittenden Locks, Lake Washington Ship Canal, 3015 NW 54th St, Seattle, WA - Contracting office at 4735 East Marginal Way South, Seattle, WA

Description

This is a non-personal professional service to provide materials and install new roll up garage doors and equip current doors with mechanically operated functionality at Lake Washington Ship Canal at Seattle, WA. The Government shall not exercise any direct supervision over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Work will include the removal of some doors to be replaced by those of similar size, that will not require alterations to the existing exterior openings. Work will also consist of upgrading manually operated doors to mechanically operated with actuators. The installation of these doors, or upgrading to allow powered operation, will require minor alteration work on interior jams to accommodate new hardware.
