NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Officer (NCO) 21, hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source firm fixed price contract to the David J. Drakulich Art Foundation, a nonprofit organization uniquely qualified to provide specialized art instruction services tailored to veterans for the Sierra Nevada Health Care System, 975 Kirman Avenue, Reno, NV 89502. Requirement: Art Instructor Services to support veteran therapeutic and rehabilitative programs. Period of Performance: One (1) Base Year, plus Four (4) One Year Option Periods. NAICS Code: 611610 Authority: FAR 13.106 1(b)(1)(i) Only one responsible source is capable of providing the supplies or services that will satisfy agency requirements (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). The David J. Drakulich Art Foundation is uniquely positioned to meet the needs of this requirement due to its specialized experience providing therapeutic art programs designed specifically for veterans, its established track record supporting VA facilities, and its ability to furnish qualified art instructors with the background, training, and experience necessary to serve VA's veteran population.
