Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT

The 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron (1 SOCONS)/PKA intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole-source basis to UFA, INC., located at 10 State ST STE 200, Woburn, MA 01801-6820, for a base period of twelve (12) months with four (4) one-year option periods.  The 1 SOCONS/PKA will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The authority for restricting competition under simplified acquisition procedures is RFO 12.102(a), Restricting Competition, which states for acquisitions valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), document the decision that only one source is available and the basis for the decision.

The proposed contract action is sole-source only.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation; no solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 10:00 AM CST on May 4, 2026, via email to edren_jash.pena.1@us.af.mil and erica.eberle.1@us.af.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date specified will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered only for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
