The Department of Education (ED) announces the opportunity to apply for competitive grants for Fiscal Year 2026 under the Jacob K. Javits Gifted and Talented Students Education Program (Javits), Assistance Listing Number 84.206A. The program supports evidence-based research, demonstration projects, innovative strategies, and similar activities designed to build and enhance the ability of elementary and secondary schools nationwide to identify gifted and talented students and meet their special educational needs. The competition includes two absolute priorities focused on developing new information to improve schools' capability to identify and serve gifted and talented students, and one competitive preference priority on meaningful learning opportunities for students.
