The City of Kitchener is soliciting professional consulting and engineering services for a new sanitary sewer installation project along Highland Road West. - Scope of work includes: - Pre-design and detailed design of a 200mm diameter sanitary sewer from Ira Needles Boulevard to Glasgow Street - Coordination of permits and approvals with Hydro One, the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), and the Region of Waterloo - Tendering support for the proposed works - All design work must comply with: - Region of Waterloo’s Design Guidelines and Supplemental Specifications for Municipal Services (DGSSMS) - City of Kitchener Development Manual - Service connections are only proposed for properties on the north side of Highland Road West, at the property owners' expense - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Notable requirements: - Strict adherence to regional and city engineering standards - Coordination with multiple regulatory and utility entities

Description

The City of Kitchener intends to install a new 200mm diameter sanitary sewer from the existing sanitary manhole at Ira Needles Boulevard west along Highland Road West to the intersection of Glasgow Street. The project includes pre-design, detailed design, coordination of permits and approvals, and tendering for the proposed works. All design work must comply with the Region of Waterloo's Design Guidelines and Supplemental Specifications for Municipal Services and the City of Kitchener Development Manual. Service connections will be proposed only for properties on the north side of Highland Road West if property owners choose to do so at their own cost.
