The City of Montebello Public Works Department is seeking qualified contractors to provide on-call annual street striping, pavement marking, and roadway legend services for approximately 142 miles of city streets. - Scope of Work: - Installation, repair, and replacement of traffic lane markings, crosswalks, stop bars, directional arrows, and other roadway legends - Services must comply with federal, state, and local traffic safety standards - Work includes both painted and thermoplastic applications, as well as removal and surface preparation (grinding, sandblasting, blackout, crack sealing, slurry sealing) - Coordination with City staff, public communication, quality assurance, and project closeout are required - Products and Quantities: - Extensive list of painted and thermoplastic legends (e.g., Speed Limit, Stop, Ped Xing, School, Bike Legend) - High-volume line items include: - 15,000 thermoplastic white 24" cross hatching/zebra striping crosswalks - 7,000 thermoplastic 4" solid white lane lines and parking stall lines - 125,000 square feet of asphalt slurry sealing - 150,000 linear feet of red curb painting - Additional items: removals (grinding, sandblasting, blackout), crack sealing, mobilization - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are named; opportunity is open to all qualified vendors - Notable Requirements: - Strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards - Scheduling to minimize traffic disruption - Electronic bid submission required - Place of Performance: - All work to be performed within the City of Montebello, with coordination through the City of Montebello Public Works office
