Johnson County Wastewater is seeking bids for major improvements at two wastewater facilities in Kansas: - New Century Air Center Wastewater Treatment Facility project: - Construction of new DAFT (Dissolved Air Flotation Thickener) and electrical buildings - Installation of a new equalization basin, intermediate pumping station, valve vault, and sludge loadout station - Replacement of plant piping, valves, influent sanitary sewer piping, and motor control centers - New odor control system and conversion of an existing DAFT to a TWAS (Thickened Waste Activated Sludge) storage tank - SCADA system integration and equipment by R.E. Description

This solicitation is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the New Century Air Center Wastewater Treatment Facility Equalization Basin, Pumping and Solids Thickening Improvements in Johnson County, Kansas. The project includes construction of a new DAFT Building and Equipment, a new Equalization Basin, Intermediate Pumping Station, Valve Vault, Pumps, and Equipment, conversion of existing DAFT to TWAS Storage Tank #3, construction of a new Sludge Loadout Station, a new Electrical Building and Equipment, installation of a new Odor Control System and Equipment, plant piping and valve replacement, influent sanitary sewer piping replacement, and motor control center replacement. Bidders must submit a bid bond of 5% of the total bid amount and submit bids electronically via IonWave. Mandatory virtual pre-bid conference and site visit are scheduled.
