Johnson County Airport Commission is seeking bids for the construction of a new airfield electrical vault at New Century AirCenter (IXD) in New Century, Kansas. - Government Buyer: - Johnson County Airport Commission (JCAC), Purchasing Division - Project managed by the JCAC at New Century AirCenter (IXD) - Products and Services Requested: - Removal of existing airfield electrical vault and construction of a new prefabricated vault building (approx. 30' x 15' x 9') - Installation of a 200KW/250KVA natural gas backup generator in weatherproof housing - New electrical transformers, main distribution panelboard, power panel, and upgraded home-run wiring to vault and control tower - Installation of new airfield lighting regulators (L-829 constant current regulators: 7.5KW, 10KW, 20KW, 30KW), power distribution system, and automatic transfer switch - Construction of concrete-encased duct banks, directional bore conduits, and direct buried PVC conduits - Installation of 12-strand fiber optic cable for Airport Lighting Control and Monitoring System (ALCMS) upgrades - Installation of L-890 ALCMS, L-854 radio controller, handholes, and associated electrical and communication equipment - All labor, supervision, project management, and coordination with airport operations and utilities - Quantities: - Over 2,000 linear feet of fiber optic cable, hundreds of feet of electrical cable and duct banks, multiple regulators, and one each of major equipment (vault, generator, panelboards, etc.) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Compliance with FAA Part 139 electrical standards and Davis-Bacon Act for prevailing wages - Coordination with airport operations for system outages and airfield access; maximum 3-day runway closure - 5% bid bond, performance and payment bonds, and specific insurance coverage required - Bidders must be registered and in good standing with the Kansas Secretary of State - Expedited project schedule: substantial completion and final payment within 82 calendar days of Notice to Proceed - No specific OEMs are named; products specified by function and standard (e.g., L-829 regulators, L-890 ALCMS) - Place of Performance: - New Century AirCenter (IXD), 1 New Century Parkway, New Century, Kansas

This Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2026-020 Addendum 1 is issued by the Johnson County Airport Commission for the construction of a new airfield electrical vault at New Century AirCenter (IXD).
