Description

This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is issued by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) and the Land and Materials Administration (LMA) to procure services for the pick-up, disposal, and destruction of Class B Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) from fire departments and airports in Maryland. The successful bidder(s) will collect AFFF from participating entities and either dispose of it at a permitted facility outside Maryland or destroy it using MDE-approved methods. This procurement complies with the George “Walter” Taylor Act of 2022. A pre-bid conference will be held via MS Teams on May 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST.
