Description
This project is to construct an 11,623 SM building with a 22,487 SM Drive thru munitions bay. This is essential for the safe and efficient handling, inspection, and storage of munitions in alignment with Air Force operational requirements. The facility will include three dedicated operational bays for munitions inspection, small arms handling, and pyrotechnic operations, as well as administrative and support areas for offices, mechanical systems, and personnel. Constructed from heavily reinforced concrete to provide the necessary durability and blast resistance, the building will feature a specialized blast-resistant frangible roof system and a cast-in-place concrete foundation designed for local soil conditions. Supporting facilities, including grading and drainage systems for stormwater management, concrete apron for safe vehicle access, and comprehensive utility connections such as domestic water supply and waste management infrastructure, will all be incorporated. Furthermore, the project will include a generator to ensure uninterrupted power supply as per Air Force Instruction 32-1062.
