The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to provide Aerial Lift Training services for maintenance personnel aboard the CGC WAESCHE at Coast Guard Island, Alameda, CA. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Coast Guard, CGC WAESCHE, SFLC Procurement Branch 2 (00085), Department of Homeland Security - Services Requested: - Aerial Lift Training Service for up to 30 Coast Guard Active Duty Members (10 per day over three days) - Training includes both classroom and hands-on operations using the Coast Guard Base Alameda’s Aerial Lift (no substitutions permitted) - Focus areas: safety, mishap prevention, operations, emergency response, and best practices - Training must provide proof of certification and ensure all presentation materials are accessible to trainees after the course - Instructors’ names must be submitted in advance for base access - Training will be conducted in a classroom on base or on board the WAESCHE, with TV and HDMI access but no internet connectivity - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Use of government-furnished Aerial Lift equipment only - No OEMs or specific commercial vendors are named in the solicitation - Training materials must be accessible post-training - Location: - Coast Guard Island, 1 Eagle Road, Alameda, CA 94501 (federal facility/military base)

Description

Purpose and objective

CGC WAESCHE seeks to purchase service for Aerial Lift Training to conduct maintenance by ETs, ITs, and EMs, as well as Hull Preservation by Deck.

Scope

Dates: May 27th, 28th and 29th 2026

People: Training for up to 10 Coast Guard Active Duty Member each day (30 people total)

Classroom: Beginning at 0700, provide no less than one hour of Classroom training on Safety, Mishap Prevention, Operations, Emergency Response, and Best Practices.

Hands On: Following Classroom Training on the same day with the same 10 people, provide no less than five hours of operations training with the Aerial Lift to include, Equipment Familiarization, Pre-Use Inspections, Safety Equipment, Moving Aerial Lifts around the pier and roadways on base, Working Aloft with the aerial lift, Emergency Response, Stowing Aerial Lifts, Post-Use Inspection, and Evaluation of Trainee’s ability to use equipment. A 30-minute lunch break will be provided at 1300 if additional time is needed.

Post Training: Provide Proof of Training/Certification. Allow all presentation materials to be accessible by trainees after the training for reference.

Only provide the service outlined in the scope of work. The unit will not accept substitutions. Provide training on the Coast Guard Base Alameda’s Aerial Lift. Provide training for 30 people over three days at a pace of 10 people each day. Training will be held at Coast Guard Island, 1 Eagle Road Alameda, CA 94501 A classroom on base or on board WAESCHE will be provided with a TV and HDMI access. WiFi or wired internet will not be accessible. Provide names of instructors no later than May 22nd 2026 for Base Alameda and WAESCHE access.
