Description
The Town of Christiansburg, in collaboration with the New River Valley Regional Commission (NRVRC), is seeking professional engineering services for a Transportation Action Plan under the Safe Streets for All (SS4A) program. The project aims to develop a strategic plan to improve transportation safety, including crash analyses, active transportation improvements, high injury network identification, and safety hotspot analysis. The selected consultant will work with Town and NRVRC staff to develop systemic improvement actions, prioritize locations, and implement public engagement strategies such as surveys, town halls, and stakeholder collaboration. The contract is anticipated to last 8-12 months and is funded by Federal Highway Administration SS4A funding and local funds.
