Consolidated Herbicide and Pesticide Services for USACE Trinity Region Lakes, Texas

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Fort Worth District is conducting market research for a consolidated contract to provide herbicide and pesticide application services at seven lakes in the Trinity Region of Texas. - Government Buyer: - United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Fort Worth District (SWF) - Contracting office: KO CONTRACTING DIVISION, 819 Taylor St, Box 17300, Fort Worth, TX 76102-6124 - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named in the solicitation or attachments. - Products/Services Requested: - Consolidated herbicide and pesticide application services at Benbrook Lake, Joe Pool Lake, Ray Roberts Lake, Lavon Lake, Grapevine Lake, Lewisville Lake, and Bardwell Lake - Services include: - Application of herbicides and pesticides on park roads, dam embankments, rip-rap, recreation/park facilities, roadsides, project offices, and campgrounds - Two applications per year (spring and fall) at all lakes; some lakes require an additional summer application - Pesticide treatment for fire ants in campgrounds and day-use areas at select lakes - All labor, equipment, chemicals, materials, permits, and supervision - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractor must hold a valid Texas Commercial Applicator's License - 90% vegetation/pest eradication performance threshold - Strict safety, quality control, and environmental compliance (including safety plans, quality control plans, and detailed reporting) - Non-personal services contract; work not permitted on federal holidays - Task orders or Letters of Instruction may specify exact work periods - Opportunity is set aside for small businesses - Period of Performance: - Anticipated as a base year plus four option years (some current contracts specify base plus two option years) - Applications typically scheduled in April and September, with some lakes also requiring July or summer treatments

This is a Sources Sought for the Government to make a determination of whether small businesses can support a consolidation of the herbicide and pesticide contracts for all USACE lakes within the Trinity Region of Texas.
