Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education (CMBE) is soliciting qualification statements from experienced Architectural/Engineering firms to provide design services for CMS facility demolition and upfit/renovation projects. The scope includes civil, architectural, and MEP disciplines for demolition of the Smith Family Center, upfit/renovation of the Dorothy J. Vaughan Academy of Technology for administrative workspace use, and other designated projects. Responses must be submitted by mail or in person by June 2, 2026, and electronic bids are not permitted. A virtual pre-proposal conference is scheduled for May 11, 2026.
