This opportunity involves maintenance and repair services for aircraft fire training facilities at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, 14th Civil Engineer Squadron (14 CES), including the Fire Department and 14 CES CEF office - Scope of Work: - Maintenance and repair of the F18EB Aircraft Fire Trainer (Building 994) and the Structural Fire Training Facility (Building 993) - Review inspection reports, validate, and repair emergency items to restore the trainer to service - Specific repairs include: - Repairing ignitors (Spill, APU, PAX) and wiring harnesses - Training point ignition protection - Troop ramp and rear section fuselage walking surface - Hydrostatic pressure relief valves on propane valves - Propane tank over pressure valves - Fuel control emergency stop system - Remtron emergency isolation system - Four non-compliant fuselage doorways - Welding and replacement of structural components (e.g., 100 linear feet of bar grating, plate bridge) - Repair of lower weir drain valve, installation of 20 French drain - Welding cracked steel plate at passenger training point - Replacement of shipboard ladder with galvanized stair assembly - Repair of cracked engine spires - Replacement of broken/cracked Maranite burn cell liners - Floor rehabilitation (cleaning, etcher paint prep, antioxidation paint) - Installation of fall protection chains in attic windows - Repair of roof opening at repelling points with stainless chain and locking carabiners - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Products/Part Numbers: - No specific products or part numbers are listed; requirement is for service and repair - Unique Requirements: - Contractor must comply with Air Force security and base entry requirements - All work must be performed at Columbus Air Force Base facilities - Set aside 100% for small businesses under NAICS 811310

Description

This is a service requirement to repair an exsiting aircraft fire trainer back into service. - Repair the following ignitors to include wiring harnesses: Spill, APU (Auxiliary Power Unit), and PAX (Passenger). - Repair the training point ignition protection. - Repair the troop ramp   - Repair the rear section fuselage walking surface.  - Repair the hydrostatic pressure relief valves on all propane valves. - Repair the propane tank over pressure valves.   - Repair the fuel control emergency stop system.   - Repair the Remtron emergency isolation system. - Repair 4 doorways in fuselage that are not compliant.
