Elevator Maintenance and Technical Support for Harry S. Truman Power Plant

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, is seeking elevator maintenance and technical support services for the Harry S. Truman Power Plant in Warsaw, Missouri. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District - OEMs and Vendors: - Hollister-Whitney (manufacturer of both elevators) - Products/Services Requested: - Maintenance and technical support for two Hollister-Whitney elevators: - 1978, 2000 lb side-traction 430D (service elevator, 6 stops) - 1978, 4000 lb overhead traction 530H (visitor's elevator, 4 stops) - Monthly preventive maintenance visits (12 per year) - Annual safety inspections and certifications (1 per year), including compliance with ASME A17.1 and state regulations - Technical support visits (2 per year) for troubleshooting and repair recommendations - 24/7 emergency response capability for elevator entrapments and safety issues - All personnel must be certified elevator technicians and comply with safety/security requirements - Deliverables include maintenance reports and certifications - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide all labor, equipment, supplies, tools, transportation, and supervision - Site visits are encouraged prior to quote submission - Set aside for SBA small businesses - Contract includes a base year plus one 12-month option year (up to 24 months total)

Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Kansas City has a need for Elevator Maintenance Services. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform Elevator Maintenance and Technical Support as defined in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Harry S. Truman Power Plant (HST) is in Warsaw, MO on the Harry S. Truman Reservoir, and Lake of the Ozarks. It has two elevators serving the industrial areas as well as administrative areas.  The service elevator is a 1978, 2000 lb side-traction Hollister-Whitney 430D with 6 stops. This elevator had new controls installed in 2007.  This elevator is critical for personnel access, equipment and material transportation in day-to-day operations. The Visitor’s elevator is a 1978 4000 lb overhead traction Hollister-Whitney 530H with 4 stops. 

Site Visit

Propspective contractors are encouraged to visit and fully inspect all areas prior to submitting a quote. The Government will not be held accountable for conditions at the site which were not considered by prospective contractors. A site visit is highly encouraged but not required.
