Description

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-700-1A10 and BD-700-1A11 airplanes. This AD corrects approach speed adders and landing distance factors in the airplane flight manual (AFM) tables related to the SLAT FAIL (Caution) crew alerting system (CAS) message. The AD requires revising the AFM to provide flight crews with the correct data to ensure safe operation. The AD is effective May 29, 2026, and addresses an unsafe condition that could increase flightcrew workload and adversely affect safe operation due to unexpected stall warnings.
