Sanitary Sewer Replacement and Improvements – Raguet Street, Nacogdoches, TX

The City of Nacogdoches, Texas is seeking bids for major sanitary sewer improvements along Raguet Street. - Government Buyer: - City of Nacogdoches, Engineering Office - Project Scope: - Remove and replace approximately 2,200 linear feet of existing 8-inch sanitary sewer pipe with new 12-inch pipe (PVC D2241 PR 160 SDR-26 and ductile iron) - Replace 8 manholes (including standard and drop manholes) with new 4' diameter concrete manholes - Install 13 new sanitary sewer service connections with double cleanouts - Repair 2,000 square feet of HMAC pavement, 50 feet of concrete driveways, and 100 feet of concrete curb and gutter - Provide trench safety systems (992 linear feet), erosion control, and construction staking - Conduct pre- and post-construction TV inspections and pipe/assembly testing - Perform bypass pumping to ensure uninterrupted sewer service, including 24/7 supervision and backup pump - Restore all disturbed areas, including seeding and watering until vegetation is established - Products/Materials: - 12" D2241 PR 160 SDR-26 PVC pipe (multiple segments, total ~2,194 linear feet) - 12" ductile iron pipe (20 linear feet at box culvert) - 4' diameter concrete manholes and drop manholes (8 total) - Services: - Traffic control planning and implementation per TMUTCD and TXDOT requirements - Utility location and coordination with Texas 811 and franchise utilities - Mobilization, bonds, insurance, and compliance with OSHA and Texas regulations - Materials testing and field changes (allowances included) - Notable Requirements: - Payment and performance bonds, and a bid bond or cashier's check of at least 5% of the bid amount - Strict adherence to city, state, and federal engineering and safety standards - Uninterrupted sanitary sewer service during construction - Coordination with city and utility representatives - Liquidated damages of $500 per day for late completion - No specific OEMs or proprietary vendors are named; standard construction materials and methods are specified.
