The University of Missouri is seeking bids for a comprehensive overhaul of the Southwest Well deep well pumping system at its Power Plant in Columbia, MO. - Government Buyer: - University of Missouri, Power Plant, Columbia, MO - OEMs and Vendors: - Grundfos (primary specified pump OEM) - Franklin Electric (primary specified motor OEM) - Centri-Pro (Hitachi) (alternative specified motor OEM) - Flowmatic (check valves) - Products/Services Requested: - Submersible deep well pump (Grundfos 1100S2000-5AA or approved equal) - 1,150 GPM at 530 TDH, 8" OD, stainless steel, vertical-turbine, 3450 RPM, 194 HP load - Submersible pump motor (200 HP, 460V, 3-phase, water-filled, by Franklin Electric, Centri-Pro/Hitachi, or approved equal) - Pump wiring (350 MCM Copper Flat Jacketed, UL listed, for well casing use) - Column pipe (8" galvanized Schedule 40 ASTM A53 Grade B or API 5L, 630-648 feet, with heavy-duty couplings) - Check valves (3 existing Flowmatic stainless steel 8" check valves to refurbish, 1 new stainless steel 8" check valve) - Surface plate (carbon steel, epoxy coated, NSF 61 rated) - Concrete clearwell tank (10 PSI) - Electrical starter (owner provided, soft start, 282 amps) - Services Requested: - Removal and inspection of existing submersible pump assembly - Deep well and casing inspection (TV camera, video report) - Refurbishment or replacement of column pipe, check valves, and surface plate - Installation of new/refurbished pump, motor, wiring, and accessories - Performance testing and commissioning (draw down, flow test, efficiency verification, documentation) - Well cleaning and disinfection (AWWA and Missouri DNR standards) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Pump and motor must meet strict performance and efficiency standards (minimum 80% BEP for pump, 87% full-load for motor) - Contractor must have significant experience with deep well projects and maintain a repair shop within 200 miles - In-house engineering support required - Compliance with Missouri prevailing wage laws, performance and payment bonds - One-year warranty on labor and parts - University inspection and oversight throughout project - Contractor has 15 consecutive days to complete work after materials are on hand

The University of Missouri is soliciting bids for the overhaul of the Southwest Well deep well pumping system located at the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. The scope includes pulling the existing submersible pump assembly, inspecting the deep well and casing, inspecting and refurbishing existing column pipe, check valves, and surface plate, and replacing the motor, pump, wiring, and accessories as specified.
