This opportunity seeks a qualified organization to establish and operate a Training Center of Expertise to advance health equity across New York State. - Government Buyer: - New York State Department of Health, AIDS Institute - Office of Health Equity and Policy Initiatives / Office of Health Equity and Human Rights - Health Research, Inc. (HRI) is a funding partner - Scope of Work: - Develop and deliver professional training and capacity building programs for health and human services providers statewide - Focus on health equity, implicit bias, and affirming service delivery for diverse populations - Address health disparities related to HIV, STIs, chronic disease, maternal and child health, COVID-19, and overdose - Target audiences include executive directors, clinicians, social workers, and peer workers in healthcare, behavioral health, and community-based organizations - Training formats include in-person, virtual, videos, case studies, infographics, and other educational materials - Develop shareable materials; AIDS Institute retains ownership of all developed content - Eligibility and Requirements: - Open to not-for-profit 501(c)(3) or tribal organizations with at least three years of health equity experience - Applicants must be prequalified in the New York State Statewide Financial System - Only one application per entity or campus - Program staff must meet specified educational and experience qualifications - Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation goals: 15% MBE, 15% WBE; M/WBE Utilization Plan required - Include CME/CEU costs if applicable - Funding and Period of Performance: - $200,000 annually for five years (total up to $1,000,000) - Contract term: Five years, anticipated to start January 1, 2027 - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; opportunity is open to eligible organizations statewide - Locations: - Statewide across New York - Key government offices: New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute, Corning Tower, Empire State Plaza, Albany, NY

The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute and Health Research, Inc. (HRI) announce the availability of $200,000 annually in New York State (NYS) and federal funds to provide professional training and capacity building programs. These programs aim to advance health equity by promoting systems transformation within healthcare, behavioral health, and community-based organizations. The training will focus on addressing health equity, increasing awareness of implicit bias, and delivering affirming services to diverse populations, with emphasis on communities disproportionately impacted by HIV, STIs, chronic disease, maternal and child health issues, COVID-19, and overdose. The RFA intends to fund one training center at $200,000 annually for five years.
