The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute and Health Research, Inc. (HRI) announce the availability of $200,000 annually in New York State (NYS) and federal funds to provide professional training and capacity building programs. These programs aim to advance health equity by promoting systems transformation within healthcare, behavioral health, and community-based organizations. The training will focus on addressing health equity, increasing awareness of implicit bias, and delivering affirming services to diverse populations, with emphasis on communities disproportionately impacted by HIV, STIs, chronic disease, maternal and child health issues, COVID-19, and overdose. The RFA intends to fund one training center at $200,000 annually for five years.
