The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) is seeking a temporary Architecture & Preservation Project Manager to oversee historic preservation and construction projects at PHMC sites and museums. - Government Buyer: - Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC), Division of Architecture and Preservation - Bureau of the State Museum, Curatorial Division - Services Requested: - Temporary project management for design and construction at historical sites and museums - Responsibilities include project planning, site coordination, construction observation, compliance with historic preservation standards, and maintaining project records - Expertise required in evaluating historic structures and familiarity with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties - Use of architecture-related software such as CADD and eBuilder/Trimble is expected - Must have a relevant degree or equivalent experience in historic preservation, architecture, or construction management - Annual background check required - Contract Details: - Initial term of 12 months, with up to four one-year renewal options - Maximum 1,950 billable hours annually; hourly rate not to exceed $62.00 - Hourly rate increases capped at 2.5% per renewal - Unique Requirements: - Compliance with Pennsylvania labor and workforce safety laws - Compliance with federal and state procurement certifications (e.g., lobbying, Iran-free) - Contractor will report to the Chief of the Division of Architecture and Preservation - Locations: - Primary work location: Commonwealth Keystone Building, 400 North St., Plaza Room N118, Harrisburg, PA 17120 - Issuing office: PA Historical and Museum Commission, 400 North St, 2nd Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17120

The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC), Division of Architecture and Preservation (DAP) is seeking to engage a temporary Architecture & Preservation Project Manager to help plan and manage projects through the design and construction phases at PHMC’s historical sites and museums. The role involves managing projects, coordinating with site staff, observing construction projects for compliance, and working with the Chief of the Division of Architecture and Preservation. The contract duration is 12 months with the possibility of renewal for up to four additional one-year terms. The contractor must submit a letter and resume demonstrating qualifications, provide references, and comply with Pennsylvania state labor and workforce safety laws.
