The U.S. Air Force is procuring specialized aviation headsets and adapters for aircrew use at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, focusing exclusively on Bose as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, 4th Contracting Squadron (4 CONS), 916th Operations Group, and 916th Air Refueling Wing - OEM and Vendors: - Bose Corporation (OEM for all products) - Products and Quantities: - 31 Bose ProFlight Series 2 Aviation Headsets, 6-pin Lemo Plug, Aircraft Powered with Bluetooth (PN: 789812-5020) - 61 Bose 6-pin LEMO Panel Power to Fixed Wing Dual Plug Adapters (PN: 327080-0010) - 31 6-Pin LEMO to Helicopter Adapters for Bose Headsets (PN: 327080-0020) - Product Requirements: - Headsets must provide noise cancellation of at least 105 dB - Compatibility with both high and low impedance microphones - In-ear, lightweight design (4.5 oz or less) - 6-pin U-174 connector - Bluetooth capability with disable feature - Alkaline battery operation for 45+ hours - FAA TSO and E/TSPC139A certification - Adapters must enable use with both fixed wing and helicopter aircraft - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Only Bose ProFlight Series 2 headsets and specified adapters are acceptable; no substitutes - Brand name justification based on operational testing and certification needs - Delivery required within 30 days of award - Place of Performance and Delivery: - Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, North Carolina - Delivery to specified base addresses
