Description
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for a Digital PCR Instrument along with a DNA Extractor. The equipment is intended for detection and identification of microorganisms such as Carbapenems resistant bacteria, which cause high morbidity and mortality. The system will also be used for extraction of nucleic acids from these bacteria for downstream processes such as PCR and whole genome sequencing, as required by CDC grant requirements. Both HHSC and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation.
