The City of Geneva, Illinois Electric Utility is seeking contractors for a comprehensive underground electric replacement and utility upgrade project in the Blackberry Subdivision and along Miller Road. - Government Buyer: - City of Geneva, Illinois - Electric Utility (Electric Division, Electric Distribution) - Products and Materials (Owner-Furnished and Contractor-Supplied): - Primary electric cables (1/0 AL, 350 AL Triplex, #6 CU Duplex, #2 CU Grounding Wire) - Transformers (single-phase: 50 kVA, 75 kVA, 100 kVA, 167 kVA) - Transformer pads, Modcan enclosures and pads (single-phase and three-phase) - Pedestals, wide base pedestals, transition adapters, connector blocks (4-pos, 6-pos) - Pulling vaults, aluminum poles, helix foundations, LED Rev-Top fixtures - Ground rods, crimp connectors, elbow arrestors, dead end caps, locks, pulling lubricant, feed-thru connectors, cable and pedestal marking tags - Contractors must supply and install all conduit and related materials - Services Requested: - Abandonment of old underground cable - Installation of new primary cable through conduit, splicing, terminations, HiPot testing, and placing elbows into feedthroughs - Installation and switching of new transformers and Modcans - Utility work for developers and emergency cable fault bores - Surveying, landscaping restoration, resident communication, and outage notification - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with prevailing wage laws and safety standards - Advance communication with residents and coordination of outages - Restoration of landscaping to original condition - Contractors responsible for all locates, testing, disposal of dirt per CCDD regulations, and providing their own material storage - City will provide switching for old equipment; contractors will switch new equipment per City routines - No specific OEMs or part numbers for major equipment are named in the solicitation; transformers, Modcans, and fixtures are generic or city-supplied - Work is to be performed at the City of Geneva Public Works Facility, Blackberry Subdivision, and Miller Road areas
