Description

Indiana University has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identifies a cultural affiliation between the remains and objects and several Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice details the number of individuals and associated funerary objects from various sites in Kentucky. Repatriation of these remains and objects may occur on or after May 26, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be sent to Indiana University.
